Questions to consider:

  1. This panel is located around the door on the inside of the common meeting space.  In this way, patrons of the building interact with it by walking through it, however we are only made aware while exiting the building.  What message does this panel send to those who leave the building?
  2. This panel is located directly across from the Malcolm: A Lifestyle panel.  They both depict timelines of portions in Malcolm X’s life.  How are they do this differently?  In what way do the two panels compliment each other?
  3. All of the murals use bright, saturated colors all throughout the murals. Think about what the panels would look like if they were made up of more muted colors. How do the bright colors in the murals, and especially this panel, enhance the experience that the murals create?
